I wanted to design a new background for my iPhone 4 that somehow incorporated the UI's method of showing contents of folders (it splits the background). In that process, I had to measure out some rules where the background would divide if a folder was selected. The file is a Photoshop template. There's a lot of literature out there about the new features in Snow Leopard, but this article isn't covering those. It's about some of the smaller touch-ups to the UI design that they made to the interface, and initial impressions of the progression of the design. I'd say these small touches are relevant because many user interface design changes we've seen over the course of the last decade or so have been born out of updates to the OS X user interface. see the article
National monuments are strange creations. Their designs are intended to be symbolic, metaphorical and try to tell a story. The designs can often also get deeply political.
